Description:

Large, dense twiggy masses on a Prunus species (Plum or Damson). The small rucksack gives a sense of scale. One of the masses has fallen from the tree and in the 2nd picture the size of the relatively thin branch on which the gall has formed can be seen.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
