Description:

Lichen growing on ground at back of sand dunes. Bright green ragged lobes, white underneath. Lots of white showing and noticeable from a distance. Fruit cups rising on stalks just above the lobes. Inside of cups whitish green. Dark brownish spots around the lips of the cups. One of these brown spots seemed to have grown upwards on a pale stalk from one of the lips [see top left quarter of images (i) and (ii)].
Possibly Cladonia cervicornis.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
