This was found edge of woodland next to brinscall lodge ( pond), SE facing.
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
I cannot say for certain what species this is (might be immature Lecanora albescens but no way I can be sure - the photo lacks definition at higher magnification). However, it is a crust.
I see no sign of lobes. The crust is cracked into structures called 'areoles', but they are remaining firmly attached to the rock and will not have a lower cortex ('skin').
