Puss Moth?

Do you have any poplar/aspen/willow trees nearby? Puss Moth caterpillars make a largish cocoon and will chew up wood and incorporate it with the silk they spin. I've kept them as 'pets' in the past, and one chewed up part of my bed and made a pupa.
