Rabbit like animal with long rear legs, size about 500mm, back brown flecked with black, short tail (top black, lower white), long ears black & white, pale underside, pupil black with golden iris. Two individuals are shown the second is smaller, ears appear shorter and are not so distinctly marked: female?

THis is certainly a Brown hare since rabbits have shorter ears and hind legs. Brown hares can be found throughout England, Wales and parts of Scotland.
