Fallow Deer

Description:

A small group of a buck and six does all very dark in appearance.
I watched the deer in the lane above, partly hidden by the trees while they were feeding on the grass verges and lawns immediately in front of the houses.

Fallow deer

Fallow deer are the only deer in Britain with palmate antlers (the tines joined). They look dark because they are in their winter pelage.
