Common Beech

Common Beech located in Cocken Woods. 2.7m in girth and approx 12m in height. Pollard (multi stemmed - 2) Holes in the base of the tree and decay in the crown. Possible threat of erosion due to the tree being on the cliff edge above the river.

Again, am just going by smoothness and greyness of the bark! I can't tell if the rusty coloured leaves in the background are attached to the observed tree, but if they are they too could help id your tree...
