Common Beech

Common Beech. 2.8m in girth and approx 25m high. Located on the banks of the river wear in Cocken Woods.Accessible to the public. Maiden (single stemmed). Ivy growing on the trunk, moss at the base and lichen on the branches.Vandalism at the base of the tree (carved names) Small branch has been cut back to clear the path way. Possible threat to erosion on the bank side.
