I agree that this might be a Marasmius but I've no idea which species. Another possibility is Mycena. Like you, I don't think the gills look quite right for Marasmius epiphyllus. Apparently one sure sign of Marasmius is that a shrivelled up dehydrated specimen will regain normal proportions if soaked in water :-O
I agree this is a Mycena.
I suspect it is Mycena vitilis, but need to see the cystidia. It is a rather rigid species and can be taken to be a Marasmius.
Thanks - and small though it is, on consideration it's probably a bit too big for M. epiphyllus, too. I'll see if I can change the ID.
