Took pics of the underneath of this moth in the hope that someone can tell me which species of winter moth it is. Someone told me to photograph the undersdie

Darkish upperside suggests brumata. The business about the underside refers to the underwing which in Northern WM is very pale. In WM it is brownish.
But I think it is the upperside of the hindwing that is required for identification. Brownish on winter moth and whiteish on northern winter moth.
