Please note that there is a Southern African iSpot at http://za.ispot.org.uk where you are likely to get faster and more accurate identification of local species.

Yes, this is out of range in unsuitable habitat. But it survives and as this species was rescued from extinction in the 1920s from less than 50 individuals, the population here is maintained as a few dozen individuals, which do not have too big an impact on the Fynbos.

These are a very distinctive animal with their tri-tone coats, brown, black and white.
