Xanthoria parietina - parasitic?
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
The main lichen here looks like Caloplaca variabilis, which appears to be a bit under-recorded in Ireland. (But there again, what isn't?)
http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/118373 shows what I believe to be a battle between Xanthoria calcicola and Tephromela atra (see comments). There is also a picture of Xanthia overgrowing something else in the latest Bulletin of the BLS (copy not to hand so I cannot check what other species).
Thanks for the Lecanora ID (yet another I haven't test results for) and for the reminder that it was in the Bulletin I saw that ..... now to search for my copy
Brain gone totally to mush at the moment........
