Description:

Single whitish mushroom growing on fallen rotten trunk. Cap 2.5 cm across, off white, flat-topped convex with scattering of wood fragments and maybe a few small white scales near margin. Stem woolly, bent, fibrous, 3 cm x 8 mm, tapering upwards from bulb at end, no obvious ring. Gills eaten away in places, white with rusty patches, adnate maybe slightly decurrent. Spore print cream/beige/light-brown stained with yellow patches and grey mildew. Spores - few seen maybe due to mildew damage? kidney-shaped/ovoid, 6 x 5 microns?
