No idea. Scoliosporum chlorococcum is a new one to me!

Not uncommon but ...

Scoliosporum chlorococcum is a widespread but easily overlooked, green crustose species on twigs. Until one sees the blackish apothecia it can look just like a green alga.

I was thinking only this morning that it was time I put it up on my website - both it and Hyperphyscia are in the queue - but with a lot of others!

Many thanks for the info - and the continuing website updates, which are immensely useful.

Now all I need is the time to get out and look for some of these species.
