Melanohalea exasperatula

Observed on Oak tree branch at the edge of a small area of woodland. Please confirm my identification. Thank you! :)

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

This group is difficult, especially when they don't have well developed isidia, but on general appearance and the way the lobes are standing away from the substrate, I am reasonably happy that the original ID was correct.

My own photographs of this species so far are rubbish, so not yet on my site.
