Description:

Found in a kick sample taken from the Foss. (River approx 75cm deep at this point - levels slightly elevated due to recent heavy rainfall)

I do agree that this is a

I do agree that this is a Chironomid larvae but I would not like to say that it is in the genus Chironomus. In a case like this it is better to stick with the family level ID i.e. Chironomidae.

Thank you for the help!
I thought it was a Chironomid larvae but I made a mistake in how to write it's family and so recorded it as Chironomus genus by mistake.
