Grey seal are distinguished

Grey seal are distinguished from the common seal by its straight head profile with nostrils that are well apart, and fewer spots on its body

Thanks Craig. Has the Common seal got a head more like a dogs profile (so to speak).

Grey and common seals

Yes Chris, common seals look like puppy dogs with a definite muzzle and pronounced forehead.

Hi Chris, I just want to agree with Graham , but I come to it from a different angle. I always think of the Common seal as 'the cute one' and the Grey as the 'unattractive' one. It's a very simple way of distinguishing between the two.
(Not very scientific, I know, But that's just me!)
