Weasel chasing pet rabbit

Observed: 6th December 2011 By: Andrea Neville-Rolfe
Description:

Inside a partridge pen where our pet rabbit lives, I saw a weasel furiously chasing the rabbit. The rabbit was mostly in mid air trying to escape. An hour later I was listening to Saving Species and heard the report on weasels.

weasel

If it had a definite dark tip to the tail, it was a stoat. A weasel's tail is short, and ginger right to the end. Weasels are a lot smaller than stoats, but still take on rabbits apparently.
