Angle is not great and wings are obscuring margin of abdomen, but it looks like a female Eupeodes luniger, perhaps. The 'y' shaped projection on the frons fits for that.

It would be good if you could have another look at this one, WLR, as it is definitely not a Syrphus - the pattern is all wrong.
