Sheep's Sorrell? - Stunted

Observed: 2nd October 2011 By: ChrisQi

Low growing patch of ??Sheep's Sorrell?? growing on old bonfire site on neglected Coastal Lowland Heath.
Leaves succulent, spear-shaped with lobed base. Minute pink/white flowers on short spike to 10cm.
Being 'grazed by unidentified caterpillar (Knot Grass or White Satin moth?)
This plant seems shorter than desc. of Sheep's Sorrell - almost a mat, widespread on site and appears to be a pioneer to Bell Heather and Calluna Heath
