Description:

On straw bales covered with cup shaped fungi strongly in rolled margin's in clusters inner surface yellow-buff often wrinkled outer surface light buff very scurfy.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Me neither

I nearly killed myself as they were on big square bales so I tried to climb up to get the photo's fell off wet and muddy resorted to using my hiking stick to knock a couple of the big ones off.The perils of Fungi hunting

Self protection totally forgotten!!

The worst I've got are scratches from thorny bushes and wet feet from not seeing boggy patches but seriously climbing precariously piled bales might be a step too far!!
