Orange wax cap mushroom

Orange cap (between 1.5 and 2.5cms) and stem (approx. 2.5 and 4cms) which pales to yellow at base. Both cap and stem dry. Gills curve down the stem. No noticeable smell.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Nice find

I am so pleased you checked the cap and stem to see if it was dry,greasy and for smell as it is so important with Hygrocybe rather a rare one.
