Description:

I think this is a real Canary, but not being really a birder I'm not sure, so would appreciate comments.
Found it on the outskirts of the capital of La Palma. Santa Cruz de La Palma.
If I've got this right and it is a canary, it is endemic to the Canaries, Azores and Madeira.

To me it does look like

To me it does look like canary but I am not familiar with the birds of this area and I think Serins and possibly one or two others can look similar to this. I have agreed but not particularly sure, on my observation I put that I am not sure too. Hopefully there will be more expert bird people to have a look, I think some of the UK bird people go to Canary islands leading bird trips so possibly one of those might be able to help if there is no local Tenerife bird person on ispot yet.
