Description:

Fungi, as shown on a section of fallen branch. Numerous occurances throughout woodland garden area at Compton Verney, Warwickshire.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Candle-Snuff Fungus

What an amazing common name! (The latin isn't bad either. Again, there is quite a lot around the grounds so I'm guessing it is fairly common.

Can vary in shape too,I love it lots about all winter but think it look's so nice.
