Description:

Growing on fallen silver birch branch. About 2 inches cross each cap.

It might be T. versicolor but

It might be T. versicolor but those hairy patches suggest, to me at least, that it is T. hirsuta, the Hairy Bracket.

Silverleaf Fungus

I couldn't see the underside at all as the fungus was in an inaccessible position behind a fence.
