i think i need some photography training apologise for blurring, as any one any hints
If you can get hold of a camera with a macro setting it will help for taking close ups like this, a number of camera makers mark this with an image of a flower on the camera somewhere, check in your instructions mannual if yours has this setting.
Otherwise take the photo from further away until the camera is able to focus, for this just practice with any object until you get the hang of it. You can then crop the photo on the computer to focus on your object of choice. This can be done in microsoft office or picasa (download free from google) or if your feeling flush adobe photoshop. For macs there are a range of similar programs check it out on google.
Also you will need to make sure that there is no camera shake, the best way to do this is to place the camera on a flat surface when taking photos. In the field you can use a range of non-moving objects to act as a tripod e.g. walls, benches, friends sholders!
Hope this helps
