Phragmites communis and Phragmites australis are two names for the same thing...
Are we labelling the same Common Reed with different scientific names; Phragmites australis and P.communis or is there a reason for this? Regards
australis and communis are the same plant, but australis is the name generally used at the moment, as far as I know. The fact that only one picture comes up on the carousel for P. communis, suggests that it is not the name used, at the moment, at least on iSpot.
