Slimy Beech Cap

I spotted these glistening white in a streetlight. It was a few days later before I could return in daylight to take these photos and most had started to dry out. Slimy, in tufts on the trunk of a beech tree. Largest cap c. 5-6cm diam. Stem obviously grooved above the ring. Gills distant. The brown fungi (image 4) were very slimy and about 1cm in diameter - can anyone confirm if these are new fruting bodies of the same please?
