A Cortinarius? in scrubby grassland with hawthorn and (a lot) further away oak and willows. Potentially very interesting find although Cortinarius notoriously difficult to ID.

Not Lepista nuda?
Nope not L. nuda, it has a cortina just about visible on cap and stem and you can see the hint of brownish spores on the gills, L. nuda has light coloured spores that are not brown.
Thanks for the clarification... it is obvious the little details that make the difference with mushrooms as with all things.
