I like the title of the location as 15 Manse Road, as I assume that relates to nearby Kinlochbervie; the address is just a couple of hundred metres from my mum's house. It is certainly not the address for Sandwood Bay! Imagine if you did have Sandwood Bay for a garden, though...wow!

It certainly looks like a dead cetacean. Someone has buried it I presume. Does anyone know anything about this stranding? I'll look it up. It is impossible to identify it from such scant remains, any idea how large it was?

Unfortunately, we have a few animals of that size around our coasts including the most common; common, bottlenose, Risso's dolphins. Plus there are rarer species, e.g. pygmy sperm whale. I'll ask around.
