I am not familiar with sunbirds as I have never visited South Africa, but since this is feeding from a flower it stands a good chance of being a species of sunbird, which one I don't know but this should help narrow it down for you if you didn't already know what type of bird it was.

... with your other observation: this bird is clearly a sunbird of some kind and therefore by implication so is the right-hand bird in your other observation (I have little doubt they are the same bird). This implies the female in the other observation is of another, unrelated, species – certainly it has different bill structure. Just goes to show how judging relationships from a photo can be tricky, the assumption is the two birds in the other observation are associated.
