Humm interesting, normally people put down an ID and I suggest its not that but honey fungus instead. However this is the first time I've come across the opposite situation! would like to see more of the context, do you have a general shot showing the ring or how they were arranged in the grassland as sometimes this gives extra clues. am wondering a bit about wood blewit Lepista nuda but not very sure about this.
the ring was mostly darker grass,with large spaces between the actual fungi.
the location was a grass roadside verge,with a hedge/shrub strip separating it from a field
