Trametes versicolor

Observed: 20th November 2011 By: RachRRachR’s reputation in Fungi and Lichens

I think this is T.versicolor due to the white pore surface and white edge to upper surface of the fungi.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Could well be Trametes

Could well be Trametes versicolor but pictures a bit fuzzy to be sure.

I totally agree with miked's

I totally agree with miked's comment above, eg so we could admire the cap surface for hairiness and the pores for shape and size... but I've agreed with your ID, given that it only says "likely to be".
