It looks so much like the sort you buy in the shops, but lacks an obvious ring and has those cream decurrent gills... if that's right, my book suggests Clitocybe or Lepista. Did it have any unusual smell? What habitat was it growing in though I still can't help thinking it came from Sainbury's :-)
