Thanks.Now you mention it, I think the damage does look more weevil-like than flea-beetle like, judging by what I have seen in the past.
Pea and bean weevil is worrying as I plan to plant some beans not far away.

Sitona

I've seen adult Sitona weevils many times, but never realised their larvae cause this sort of damage on leaves, thanks for the information.
