Found under mixed broadleaves with a hazel understorey.

The colours aren't very clear in the photo. Were the gills very white? Could be a faded Russula.

were there others in a sort of ring. suspect clitocybe nebularis. often in ring but sometimes singly.

The gills were very white and it was a single fungi. Quite a number of other fungi in the wood but I saw no others with these characteristics.
