Entoleuca (Hypoxylon) mammata

Entoleuca (Hypoxylon) mammata grows on willow so it could be that.

If it is Entoleuca

If it is Entoleuca (Hypoxylon) mammata then that can be a pathogen on poplar and I think its an invasive species in some parts of the world. possibly i will go back and collect a sample just incase anyone wants to have a look at it, there are various people investigating invasive species.
This year i have noticed large amounts of Hypoxylons of this general shape on a range of different tree species, much more than I'd noticed previously.
