Description:

Growing around the base of a maple species on a roadside verge. All stages of development seemed to be present. The older mushrooms had black gills and a moist black ring working inwards from the rim.
The tallest was 10cm and the widest was about 6cm.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
