I now have a vision of your Fox sitting in the hedge waiting.I live in a very rural area and have a fox which walks around the farm building's at about 10.30 to 11pm every night so I do think as you have said they have a routine,I don't feed mine as there are enough pheasants and mice about amazing to watch.
Lovely to watch I sometimes come accross the odd one stalking Geese in the Winter Months on the banks of the R Calder when they are hungry . I am hoping to get some shots of the behaviour this year as the Geese usually come out on top . I expect yours will be after a Fishy - On a little Dishie ;-)
My fox probably waits just until I put my camera and then strolls past giggling! :-D
None of those urban foxes round here in most parts of Ireland unfortunately :-( im afraid i have to wait in hedges for half the night just to see one!:)
I have got a night camera for Christmas so I am hoping to get some good photo's of the Fox were I live plus a badger sett once I work out how to use it,also lot's of Owl's,so watch this space.
Wonderful what an obliging fella Santa can be :) . I look forward to seeing Foxs and Owls
