Fungi and Lichens expert

Not sure what name to put down for this one after discovering that Leccinum quercinum is no longer a species. It was growing within 3m of an oak but right in a thicket of aspen (populus tremula). presumably L. aurantiacum


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

The only other one with these

The only other one with these characteristics is L vulpinum which grows under Pinus and has a darker cap
