Species with which Pied Wagtail (Motacilla alba subsp. yarrellii) interacts

That character is common to all alba wagtails, not just ssp. yarrellii. In fact, some adult birds can have the slight primrose tint to the face, too. It is not a distinguishing feature for Pied and White. It is better to look at the duskiness of the flanks and the darkness of the mantle and rump (all are paler in White Wagtail).
