Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Full Identifications

Hello Pam

When you add the common name click on the get recommended and it should search for the Scientific name .

The reason its important is that Common names can often be miscontrued ie if you said Grayling you could mean a Butterfly or a Fish. It also loads the carousel probaly more precisely

If you cite the Latin then it can only be that as a Binomial - a two part Latin name classifies the species exactly

It also means that more people will agree with you. What you did'nt say was Amanita muscaria var. muscaria !!

Best Wishes
