Adult yellow leggs have red eye ring, looks like a scandinavian herring gull to me.
I sincerely doubt whether the red eye-ring of a Y-l Gull would be visible in a photo like this one, which is not sharp.
Structurally the bird does not look particularly 'attenuated' at the rear end, which would usually be expected in a Y-leg, but it does appear thick necked and with a heavy, blunt bill.
A shot of the open wing would probably make identification easier.
