Though i agree this is a Meadow Brown, some will also have the double eye-spot:

I agree

I agree that twin spotted Meadow Browns do occur - I have seen them. I believe that Gatekeeper almost invariably has twin pupils though. Other features that indicate meadow brown in this case are the lack of white spots on the hindwing and the overall colour/appearance which tends to be duller than Gatekeeper. Size is another indicator, though of course not easy to judge in a photo.
