Fungi and Lichens expert

Any ideas on this one? Initially looked like rather a large grey mycena, note the card is not all the way down to the ground. however gills looked to be rather grey and in the field appeared to be mottled (suggesting something other than mycena) but looking at the photo it does not show this so i could have been mistaken in the field in the bright sun.
growing in grassland well away from trees although well manured patch as i discovered when i put my rucksack down.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I'd agree with the common

I'd agree with the common name they did indeed look very drab, perhaps they were a bit bigger than normal due to the high fertility of that patch of soil and the somewhat agresssive grass growth.
