Description:

Bumble bee busy collecting nectar from some coastal heather, on a late summers evening. Sorry the photos are a little fuzzy.

Two species here?

For the bee in the first two photos, the rounded face and 3 yellow bands (collar, scutellum and top of abdomen) indicate B.jonellus.

I don't think photo 3 is the same bee, that does look much more like B.terrestris, more "chunky" in shape with a darker yellow abdomenal band. Perhaps move the first two pics to a second observation?
