Raptor mobbed by Jackdaws

A raptor the same size as its Jackdaw mobbers was seen spiralling above the school I work at. Although it was fairly distant its grey upperparts were obvious against the black of the jackdaws. It also had a dark banded tail that was held fanned out as it spiarlled. As it swooped to avoid the jackdaws it wings broadened displaying what appeared to be heavy but fine barring across its pale underparts.
