European Larch

I think you can go as far as saying this is a European larch to distinguish it from a Japanese Larch or Hybrid larch. By using L. decidua you are already doing so, but it is helpful to also be accurate in the vernacular name.

The straw coloured stems and the tall erect cones are distinguishing features of this sp.

Looking at some of the archive material it appears as if some revision may be appropriate.
