Description:

Each fruiting body about 2-4mm across. Growing on decaying birch wood.

Identifications

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Have now revisited the stick with the specimens on. I agree with flaxton - they are Lycogala terrestre !!
