Fungi and Lichens expert

Ramalina? A remarkable luxuriant assembly of lichens on this little bush in an area that was an industrial site a few years ago. some of the lichens were much bigger than this but i could not get to them.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

The focal point of the photograph is evidently the Evernia, so best to add IDs of other species here in comments.

Yes, Hypogymnia physodes is present. Parmelia sulcata, Physcia adscendens, Melanelixia sp. - almost certainly M. subaerifera, an immature bit of Xanthoria, and, interestingly, what seems to be Hypotrachyna revoluta in the strict sense, but we don't get a very clear view of it.
